Petrobras has reported a new hydrocarbon discovery in block C-M-477 in Brazil’s pre-salt Campos Basin, with laboratory analysis set to assess reservoir conditions and fluid characteristics.
Petrobras confirmed an oil discovery in the pre-salt section of the Campos Basin at Marlim Sul offshore Brazil. Laboratory analysis will support further appraisal of the area.
Shell agreed to transfer 20% of the Orca offshore Brazil project to KUFPEC while keeping operatorship. Post-close shares are set at Shell 50% and Ecopetrol 30%, with completion targeted for late 2026.
