AquaWind Launches Offshore Tests of Floating Wind–Aquaculture System

In a landmark development for the blue economy, a prototype floating platform that integrates wind power generation with aquaculture has been installed off the Spanish coast. Developed under the EU-funded AquaWind initiative, the platform pairs the proven W2Power floating wind technology with fish-farming infrastructure to test the viability of co-located offshore energy and aquaculture uses.
