OranjeWind, the joint venture between RWE and TotalEnergies, has signed a five-year charter agreement with Purus for the CSOV Purus Power.
The vessel will support planned and unplanned operations and maintenance work at the OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. The contract also includes an extension option.
Purus Power measures 88 m in length and 19 m in width. The vessel was built for offshore wind operations and is equipped with diesel-electric and battery-hybrid propulsion. It is also prepared for future upgrades, including possible conversion to zero-emission energy sources.
The CSOV has an integrated walk-to-work system and is designed for extended offshore deployment. Onboard facilities include accommodation, office space, meeting rooms, a gym and a mess area for personnel.
The 795 MW OranjeWind offshore wind farm, also known as Hollandse Kust West VII, is located about 53 km off the Dutch coast. Construction has already started.
The project will feature 53 Vestas V236-15 MW turbines on monopile foundations produced by Sif. Inter-array cables will be supplied by TKF. Jan De Nul will install the foundations and turbines, while DEME will carry out the inter-array cable installation.
OranjeWind is scheduled to start operations in 2028.
