https://www.semcomaritime.com/Semco Maritime GmbH announced on September 25 that it has signed a long-term frame agreement with RWE Offshore Wind GmbH for the maintenance of offshore substations in Germany. The contract runs from September 2025 until the end of 2027, with an option to extend for two additional years.

The agreement covers scheduled and unscheduled above-water maintenance, troubleshooting, and auxiliary equipment servicing across RWE’s offshore wind farms. Initially, the scope includes Amrumbank West, Nordsee Ost, and Kaskasi in the North Sea near Heligoland, as well as the Arkona site in the Baltic Sea. Future Nordseecluster projects, currently under development by RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management, may also be added under the agreement once commissioned.

Semco Maritime emphasized that consolidating balance-of-plant services under a dedicated project team will enable significant efficiencies. By leveraging experienced, multi-skilled technicians and integrated project management, the company expects to reduce operational risks and costs while enhancing reliability across RWE’s offshore wind operations.

“Building on our successful cooperation since 2023, we are proud to deepen our partnership with RWE through this new frame agreement,” said Klaus Iversen Grau, Senior Manager of Service Projects at Semco Maritime. “Our strong regional presence in the North Sea and Baltic Sea allows us to provide flexible, value-added service concepts tailored to renewable energy clients.”

The deal reinforces Semco Maritime’s growing footprint in European offshore wind operations, highlighting its expertise in high-voltage substations and long-term service partnerships.
