Two commissioning service operation vessels from PKR Offshore will be available for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy offshore wind projects in Taiwan under a new framework agreement.

PKR Offshore, the offshore wind subsidiary of Marco Polo Marine, will deploy the vessels on a non-exclusive basis. The two companies will also cooperate on offshore wind projects in South Korea and Japan.

The framework agreement will initially run for two years from 2029. It includes an option for operations to begin in 2028 and allows additional extensions of between one and three years.

One of the vessels covered by the agreement is PKR Offshore’s second CSOV, which is under construction at Marco Polo Marine’s Batam shipyard in Indonesia. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.

The other vessel will be the company’s third CSOV, which remains in the planning stage. Both vessels will be fitted with Siemens Energy’s BlueDrive PlusC hybrid propulsion system.

The agreement adds to PKR Offshore’s existing offshore wind operations in Taiwan. Its first CSOV, Wind Archer, has been operating in Taiwan since entering service in 2025.
