Nortrans Offshore has secured a two-year charter for its accommodation vessel Nor Spirit to support offshore operations on Angola’s Block 15.

Under the agreement, Nor Spirit, a 500-person accommodation MSU DP3 flotel, will support the Life Extension Program for the FPSO units Saxi and Mondo.

The vessel will provide offshore accommodation and operational support services during life-extension activities associated with the two floating production units.

According to Nortrans Offshore, Nor Spirit was selected for its DP3 capabilities, continuous gangway connection system and large accommodation capacity, enabling support for offshore personnel and project activities throughout the campaign.

The contract further strengthens Nortrans Offshore’s position in the offshore accommodation market.

The project is being carried out for SBM Offshore, with ExxonMobil serving as the operator of Block 15.

Nortrans Offshore said the award reflects continued confidence from project stakeholders in the company’s offshore accommodation assets and operational capabilities.
