Noble Corporation has been awarded a three-well drilling contract with bp for the Noble GreatWhite offshore the UK.

The contract has an estimated duration of 150 to 210 days. The agreed day rate is $320,000 per day, with a separate $5 million mobilization fee. Work is expected to commence in Q2 2027.

The UK drilling campaign is scheduled to take place directly before the rig’s upcoming contract with Aker BP ASA in Norway. The sequence is expected to support continuity of operations for Noble Corporation in the region.

Blake Denton, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Contracts at Noble Corporation, said the contract expands the company’s scope with a key client ahead of operations in Norway with Aker BP ASA.

Before operations commence, the Noble GreatWhite will be renamed Noble Claus Bachmann. Noble Corporation said the renaming recognizes Claus Bachmann’s long-standing impact on the company.
