INA has completed the Ana-4 DIR gas well at the Sjeverni Jadran production field in the northern Adriatic Sea, the first of five wells planned under a $74 million (€65 million) offshore drilling program.
The well reached a total depth of 1,282 m. Initial tests recorded a combined gas flow of approximately 160,000 m3 per day from three reservoirs.
Preparations are underway to connect Ana-4 DIR to the surface production system for an extended production test. The test will clean the reservoirs, assess their production potential and provide data for reserve evaluation.
The Labin jack-up drilling rig carried out the work with a crew from CROSCO, INA’s oilfield services subsidiary. The rig will next move to the IKA JZ-6 DIR location to continue the offshore drilling program.
INA said the well was drilled without incidents and in line with industry health, safety and environmental standards.
According to the company, completion of Ana-4 DIR confirms remaining gas potential in its northern Adriatic offshore fields. The well is expected to support Croatia’s natural gas supply security in the coming years.
