HARIMA rig starts drilling on Emeraude AA

Dixstone’s new HARIMA modular drilling rig has started its first well from the Emeraude AA platform offshore the Republic of Congo, following completion of endurance testing and connection to the field power grid.

SHARE ARTICLE

HARIMA, the latest unit to join Dixstone’s drilling fleet, is a compact hydraulic modular drilling rig installed on a self-propelled marine jack-up tender barge. The rig is tied into the field’s power network, a setup intended to cut emissions and streamline offshore logistics during drilling campaigns.

This configuration is now being deployed on the Emeraude AA platform offshore the Republic of Congo, where HARIMA has been mobilised for its first operational assignment under Dixstone.

After completing its endurance testing phase, HARIMA began drilling its initial well from the Emeraude AA platform on 7 January, marking the start of the rig’s first well programme on the Congolese offshore asset.
