Haesong Offshore Wind has signed preferred supplier agreements with LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution for Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 in South Korea.
The developer also signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with LS Cable & System and KEPCO Engineering and Construction. The agreements cover subsea cable supply, transportation and installation, as well as operations and maintenance support.
Haesong Offshore Wind said the partnerships bring together LS Cable & System’s manufacturing expertise, LS Marine Solution’s installation capabilities and KEPCO Engineering and Construction’s engineering know-how. The developer said the cooperation is intended to support execution of Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 and contribute to South Korea’s offshore wind ambitions.
The latest agreements follow Haesong Offshore Wind’s memorandum of understanding with Siemens Gamesa and Doosan Enerbility, which aims to combine Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind turbine technology with Doosan Enerbility’s domestic manufacturing capabilities for Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3.
Owned and developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, the Haesong project is planned off the west coast of Shinan, Jeonnam. It consists of two 504 MW phases, Haesong 1 and Haesong 3.
Last year, Copenhagen Offshore Partners, which is developing the project on behalf of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, signed preferred supplier agreements with LS Marine Solution for subsea cable installation and LS Cable & System for cable delivery.
In June 2025, the developer signed a grid interconnection agreement with KEPCO, enabling 1 GW of renewable energy from Haesong Offshore Wind 1 and 3 to be connected to KEPCO’s grid.
