DeepOcean has completed subsea construction, tie-in and commissioning work for Anasuria Operating Company at the Teal West development on the UK Continental Shelf.
Located in the Central North Sea, Teal West has been developed as a subsea tie-back to the existing Anasuria FPSO, which is positioned about 180 km east of Aberdeen in approximately 90 m of water.
DeepOcean installed a flexible production riser, flowline and umbilical linking the Anasuria FPSO with the Teal West subsea Christmas tree. Its scope also covered protection of the flowline and umbilical and commissioning of the new infrastructure.
The tie-in work was carried out with a remotely operated vehicle and specialised tooling, removing the need for diver intervention. DeepOcean used its proprietary tie-in tool to make high-pressure flange connections with subsea robotics, including connections between pipes and valves.
The Teal West development comprises two production wells and one water injection well. Initially, one production well will be connected to the Anasuria FPSO through approximately 3 km of subsea flowlines.
Engineering and project management for the subsea construction and tie-in scope were led by DeepOcean’s Aberdeen office.
Offshore work was carried out in phases. Subsea construction and tie-in activities were completed first, followed by commissioning using a second offshore construction vessel from DeepOcean’s chartered fleet.
Richard Beattie, CEO of Anasuria, highlighted the role of existing infrastructure in the Teal West development. Robin Mawhinney, EVP EMEA at DeepOcean, said the company supported the project through its engineering and offshore execution scope.
