Two GENMA Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHC) were recently loaded aboard a COSCO Shipping vessel at the GENMA Taicang manufacturing base, commencing their voyage to Indonesia. The shipment involves equipment designed for bulk and general cargo handling at terminal operations.
The cranes belong to GENMA’s strategic MHC product line and incorporate a combined operating configuration. Frequency-conversion electric systems drive their hoisting, slewing, and traveling functions, while the luffing function operates through a hydraulic drive. This arrangement links the precision of electric control with the stable output characteristics of hydraulic machinery.
Under this setup, the cranes’ electric hoisting speed exceeds 120 m/min, marking a notable performance step for the model. Meanwhile, the hydraulic system—recognized for high power density, compact structure, and overload-protection capability—supports controlled and reliable luffing operations.
Once the equipment arrives at the Indonesian port, GENMA will perform on-site testing and operator training to ensure that the cranes meet their intended performance parameters. These activities aim to help the terminal improve operational efficiency and strengthen its competitiveness.
