Arabian Drilling, Saudi Arabia’s largest onshore and offshore drilling company by fleet size, has received notice to resume operations on three offshore rigs suspended earlier in 2026.
The temporary suspensions were introduced as a precaution in response to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The company said the measures were coordinated with clients and relevant stakeholders, with safety given priority.
Arabian Drilling expects the remaining suspended offshore rigs to return to operation during the second half of 2026. Offshore fleet utilization is projected to reach 100% by the end of the year once all affected rigs resume activity.
The suspensions applied only to the offshore fleet. The company’s 39 onshore rigs continued operating at full capacity without disruption.
Fahad Albani, Chief Executive Officer of Arabian Drilling, said the company would maintain its focus on safe and efficient execution and consistent service standards as offshore operations resume.
