Qidong, China — October 2025. The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has confirmed the successful delivery of the deck cargo vessel HAITENG 007 (IMO 1063504), constructed at Qidong Jisheng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The ship, completed in 2025, is now sailing under the flag of Panama and classified under IRS, which provided technical supervision throughout the construction process.

The delivery marks another milestone in IRS’s overseas classification activities, reflecting its expanding role in China’s commercial shipbuilding market. The classification society’s involvement covered plan approval, survey, and final inspection prior to the vessel’s handover to its owners.

HAITENG 007 was built for HK Haiteng Shipping Limited, with IRS’s Qingdao office providing coordination during all phases of the project. The classification society noted that the successful delivery was achieved through close collaboration between the shipyard, the owner, and IRS technical teams in both China and India.

The vessel’s completion demonstrates the continued integration of Indian classification expertise within Chinese shipyards, reinforcing the growing cooperation between the two maritime sectors.
