Norwegian offshore and subsea service provider AKOFS Offshore AS has secured a firm 4-year contract to continue operations for Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) in Brazil with its AKOFS Santos vessel. The award follows a competitive tender process.

Under the new agreement, operations are expected to commence in January 2027, after the current contract expires and the vessel undergoes necessary preparations.

The total contract value is USD 246 million, of which approximately USD 140 million will be recognized as revenue for AKOFS Offshore and booked into its backlog. After this award, AKOFS reports its total contract backlog stands at about USD 612 million as of Q2 2025.

For execution, AKOFS will partner with Bravante to handle marine services and IKM Subsea to provide ROV operations.

The AKOFS Santos vessel, originally built in 2009 (STX OSCV 03L design), will continue serving Petrobras’ offshore demands under this extension.
