A floating wind foundation, measuring 80.82 meters in length, 91 meters in width, and weighing 7,500 tons, has been moved in China with the support of SCHEUERLE Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs).

The transport was carried out by China Shipping-Vastwin Engineering & Logistic Co., Ltd., which deployed 244 axle lines and 13 Power Pack Units (PPUs) to transfer the structure onto a barge. The operation required precise positioning to ensure safe loading.

The foundation is designed to support a 16-megawatt wind turbine. Once installed, it is expected to produce around 44.65 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, contributing to China’s offshore wind capacity.
