At the Lindø production site, CS Wind Offshore has finalized a new batch of XXL monopiles, including what may be an industry-record unit. The largest foundation measures 123.6 meters in length, 10 meters in diameter, and weighs 2,515 tons.
Quality checks recorded a welding defect rate of just 0.05%, underscoring the precision achieved during fabrication. Such results are particularly significant as offshore wind projects continue to demand larger and more complex monopile structures to support higher-capacity turbines.
The delivery marks a new benchmark in TP-less monopile foundations, reflecting the ongoing shift toward larger-scale components in the offshore wind sector and the industrial capability required to meet that demand.
