China’s Jiangsu Hengtong Optic-Electric and its controlled subsidiaries have received winning bid notices or signed contracts for marine energy projects with a combined value of RMB 1.831 billion.
The projects cover submarine cables and accessories, cable-laying works, offshore wind turbine installation, and offshore operations and maintenance across China and overseas markets.
In China, the awards include the Datang Hainan Danzhou 1.2 million kW offshore wind project, covering submarine optoelectronic composite cables and accessories.
Hengtong Optic-Electric also secured work for the Shenergy Hainan CZ2 offshore wind demonstration project involving submarine cables and cable-laying, as well as the Changle offshore wind farm for submarine cables and accessories.
Other domestic awards cover operations and maintenance under an offshore large-component replacement project and wind turbine installation for the Three Gorges Yangjiang Qingzhou 5 and 7 offshore wind projects.
International awards include marine energy projects in Europe and the Americas for submarine cables and accessories. In the Asia-Pacific region, the awarded scope covers submarine cables and accessories, along with flexible pipes and related accessories.
The combined value of RMB 1.831 billion is equivalent to 2.74% of Hengtong Optic-Electric’s audited revenue for 2025.
Not all of the announced projects have reached the contract-signing stage. Hengtong Optic-Electric said their subsequent implementation remains subject to uncertainty.
