Axess Group has secured maintenance and asset integrity management assignments from Golar LNG for two floating LNG units planned for the Argentina LNG project on the country’s Atlantic coast.
The work covers FLNG MK II and FLNG Hilli, which will be chartered to Southern Energy S.A. The assignments were awarded following competitive tender processes.
For FLNG MK II, Axess Group will provide maintenance build services. Its scope includes developing an asset hierarchy and asset register, together with maintenance and inspection programmes.
The company will also provide integrity revalidation services for FLNG Hilli. The work will include risk-based inspection revalidation, structural integrity reassessment and inspection baseline consolidation to support the unit’s redeployment.
FLNG MK II is being converted from the LNG carrier Fuji and is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027. The unit will have a liquefaction capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per year.
FLNG Hilli has been in commercial operation since 2018 and is one of the first converted floating LNG units.
Axess Group said it will deliver digitally enabled asset integrity management services across both units.
