Hilong Holding said its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Hilong Petroleum Pipe Company LLC, had signed a drill string supply contract with ADNOC Drilling.

The contract is valued at approximately $44.0 million and covers the provision of drill strings for 19 onshore and offshore rigs.

The supply scope includes drill strings for extended-reach drilling wells on Upper Zakum Artificial Island. The company said the contract also includes deployment of an IoT-enabled drill string described by the company as the world’s largest.

The IoT integration is intended to support real-time asset management and operational efficiency, with potential for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.

ADNOC Drilling is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and provides upstream services for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
