Sarens and NorSea Logistics have extended the cooperation they began in 2016, maintaining a frame agreement that covers heavy transport operations along Norway’s west coast through 2028. The arrangement combines Sarens’ engineered transport capability with NorSea’s local infrastructure, enabling the movement of oversized offshore components at locations including Stordbase.
Under the agreement, Sarens deploys 24 axle lines of K24ST SPMTs to relocate structures such as 70–400-tonne cable reels, 450-tonne subsea templates, and 400-tonne subsea processing modules. These units are transferred between the quay and temporary storage areas ahead of offshore installation.
NorSea’s site management emphasises that the cooperation meets its safety, planning, and operational requirements, while Sarens notes that both companies share a similar service-oriented working culture. Coordination is supported by Sarens’ on-site office at Stordbase, which allows mobilisation windows ranging from 48 hours to two weeks. A recent move involving a 400-tonne offshore cable reel demonstrated the precision achieved during joint operations.
